Agile Culture: Launching a New Consulting Product Through Research-Led Content

Challenge / Objective

At Walking the Talk, the opportunity was to help organisations develop the culture needed to make Agile ways of working genuinely effective. Many businesses had adopted Agile frameworks and routines but had not addressed the mindsets and behaviours that determine whether those approaches succeed. We needed to establish a distinctive, credible proposition for a new Agile Culture service, make specialist consulting thinking relevant to senior decision-makers, and translate interest into commercial opportunities.

Workstreams

  • Partnered with Walking the Talk’s culture specialists to frame the central distinction between DO-ing Agile and BE-ing agile, using the consultancy’s research and interviews with leaders from more than a dozen organisations.

  • Helped turn the research into the flagship Agile Culture: BE-ing Agile report, combining the evidence with a practical framework built around customer-centricity, empowerment, experimentation and collaboration.

  • Positioned the report as the lead content asset for the new offer, with an accessible downloadable format, practical leadership advice, troubleshooting guidance and an implementation toolkit.

  • Developed the launch marketing and distribution through the website, SEO, email, LinkedIn and consultant-led business development, connecting interest in the research to conversations about the new service.

Results

  • More than 400 report downloads in the first six weeks.

  • €600,000 in revenue generated by the new Agile Culture product in its first year.

  • Created a reusable body of thought leadership that differentiated the service and gave consultants a credible starting point for conversations with potential clients.

Bottom Line

This project demonstrated how content can help shape a product, not just promote it. By making complex expertise useful to the audience and aligning the launch with a clear commercial proposition, we turned a research report into the foundation of a successful new consulting offer.
