GEO: Making SkyGeo Visible in AI Search

Challenge / Objective

SkyGeo sells InSAR satellite ground-motion monitoring to engineers, mine operators and energy companies. More of those buyers now research suppliers by asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Google’s AI Overviews, not just by scanning search results. The objective was to make skygeo.com a source that AI assistants cite, and to grow non-branded search, without publishing claims the company could not back up.

Workstreams

  • Benchmarked how often AI assistants cited SkyGeo compared with competitors, and set up a listening tracker to follow it over time.

  • Ran a citation-readiness audit of skygeo.com and built a claims-and-evidence matrix, so every public claim has a source behind it.

  • Wrote an 18-month SEO, GEO and AEO strategy, triaged 18 drafted pages into publish, edit or hold, and produced answer-first FAQ content with internal linking.

  • Designed a reusable GEO FAQ Generator (a custom GPT) that picks competitors from citation data rather than assumption and carries no assumptions between sites.

  • Mapped the questions people ask AI assistants about the Bodemdalingskaart 4.0 product launch (1 well covered, 9 partly covered, 5 missing) to direct the launch content.

  • Set up a repeatable method for separating branded from non-branded queries in Search Console, so growth is measured honestly.

  • Used AI for analysis and first drafts; strategy, editing and the sign-off on every claim stayed with me.

Results

  • skygeo.com optimised for generative engine results, with a baseline in place for AI citations and non-branded search.

  • A claims register and evidence matrix that keeps published content defensible in a technical market.

  • A reusable GEO playbook and FAQ generator that can be applied to any website.

Bottom Line

Search is moving from a list of links to a single generated answer. This programme treated AI visibility as a discipline with measurement and evidence rules, so SkyGeo is easier for AI assistants to find, understand and quote accurately.
