Case Study

Giving Webinars a Second Life with AI Narration

Challenge / Objective

SkyGeo had valuable recorded webinars that had dated: old dates burned into the video, a former presenter on camera, outdated claims and, in one case, a missing source deck. Re-recording would have been expensive and slow. The objective was to turn them into evergreen on-demand content without starting again.

Workstreams

  • Identified what had to be fixed in each recording: date burn-ins and a former presenter’s camera tile to mask, closing contact slides to replace and claims to update.

  • Rewrote the narration scripts so the whole series speaks with one consistent voice.

  • Generated new narration with ElevenLabs, then mapped slides and timings and built a Descript edit plan with slide-boundary detection.

  • Designed new covers and cut nine short clips for LinkedIn.

  • Wrote a reusable remaster prompt so the next webinar follows the same process.

Results

  • Remastered webinars: The InSAR Revolution in Geotechnical Engineering, Groundwater (US and UK voiceovers) and CCUS.

  • Nine short LinkedIn video clips from the same material.

  • A repeatable, low-cost method for refreshing the rest of the webinar library.

Bottom Line

Old content can keep working. With careful scripting and AI narration, recordings that had dated became evergreen assets for the website and social channels, at a fraction of the cost of new production.
